The Royal Oak TimeBank is open individuals and families that live in Royal Oak or Huntington Woods.  If you are interested in joining the Royal Oak TimeBank, it’s as easy as 4 easy steps.

Step 1:  Sign up!
Complete the ROTB Membership Enrollment Form.  Please download the form, complete it in its entirety, and mail it to the address listed or bring it to a membership orientation session.  It is not possible to complete the form on-line – please mail it in.  Once we receive it, one of the Matchmakers will contact you to let you know that your enrollment form has been approved and to answer any questions you may have about getting started in the TimeBank.

Step 2:  Pay Suggested Membership Donation
You can send in your membership donation with your enrollment form or pay when you attend a membership orientation (Step 3).  The suggested annual donation is $25 for an individual or $40 for a family.  Please make checks payable to Royal Oak TimeBank.

Step 3:  Attend a Membership Orientation
Our next orientation will be held in October, with monthly orientations from that point on.  They are designed to provide you with the necessary foundation to understand how the ROTB works, to help you be an active participant, and to meet other members. Also read the ROTB Membership Handbook which outlines the policies of the TimeBank.

Step 4:  Set Your Community Weaver Account and Start Sharing!
The ROTB uses Community Weaver, an on-line system for TimeBank members that lists offers and requests for services and tracks their hours.  By setting up your account, you will be connected to other ROTB members, will be able to start making exchanges and, most importantly, will help to build your community.
If you have any questions, or are still not confident in what you have to offer the TimeBank, please contact a Cabinet Member, who would be happy to help you discover what you have to offer.

If you do not live in Royal Oak or Huntington Woods, your city might still have a TimeBank.  If it does not, perhaps you might consider starting one on your own city. It takes work and dedication, but there are many people who would be happy to help. You can start by contacting the Michigan Alliance of TimeBanks.
